Impact & ESG

We can’t do this alone.

Environmental, social and governance performance is how we measure the good our businesses do.

Our mission

We strive to build sustainable, equitable, healthy, and diverse communities through a combination of innovative business practises and exemplary environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.

“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make”

Jane Goodall

Three pillars

How we act on it

Climate change and the environment

  • Energy

We are committed to driving down our energy and carbon impacts. Our sustainability program is committed to environmentally sustainable initiatives that deliver near-term efficiency, value, and health for our business, our people, and the wider community.

  • Biodiversity

We comply with current environmental legislation and work to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment by focusing on biodiversity, where relevant and the SDGs, including efforts to advance the underlying goals.

  • Paper Free

We promote a paper-free office and strive to be a digital-first business.

Why it matters

What ESG means to us

ESG is about assessing our positive impact on the world — and taking defined, measurable action to improve it.

Our value rests in our people and our communities, so ESG is built into how every business in our portfolio grows: from climate and biodiversity, to how we invest in people, to how we govern ourselves.

It is how a feel-good story becomes real impact for every stakeholder.

Our duty to the wider world

As a business we have a duty to our people, our customers and the wider world. ESG brings those responsibilities together.

We see it as a continuous process — aligning our operations with openness, sustainability and respect, and holding ourselves to a values-led standard.
